Robert Hass @ Poet House in New York City

...people have no time to read - they busy with their life, work and constant worries about everything else;
but occasionally the tiny book of poems could seduce you and - voila! -
you in the Netherlands of timeless idea, beautiful thoughts, images, rhythms & rhymes...
it works as a glass of good red wine with a good friend.

...couple a days ego I have a chance to meet Robert Hass, American poet, here in New York City at Poets House's Ecology event; there was a lot of talking about ecology, spill of the oil, that now covering up to half of our Planet Oceans, and how we humans destroying our own environment.
At the end of the night I overheard elderly beautiful woman speaking to Robert, trying to express what is
poetry for her and for all of us:
- Those poems, I know by heart , they like  - a members of my family, they my friends and my prayers
and when nobody left in my life I still could rely on them, lend my memories to them, weep with them as a child and even ask forgiveness

but people have no time to read...
